Chapter 4

Focus Question:How can teachers integrate technology into their work as educators?
In the book it gave three examples 1. Classroom instructions, 2. outside the classroom activities and 3 inside and outside the classroom learning activities for students. When they were speaking about giving different ways for them to get the information they need. Power points, research engines, textbooks online are a great help as well. So instead of buying all of the books for the class you can work with a code online in order for them to read the book on their own if they wanted.
Tech Tool: NETS this web site was interesting to go through. This place is the standards for learning, teaching and leading into the new digital age. It has ways of helping the teachers and students and parents learn how to deal with the improving technology every day. They have programs that can help show you how to bring technology into the classroom.'
Chapter Summary: This chapter was finally helpful because the beginning chapters were all about how you should bring the digital world into the classroom and how it can help. Chapter four was giving examples on some tools that we can use as teachers. And was showing how they are helpful and how you can figure out how to use it. It spoke about the different levels of teachers and their exposure to technology and Inclusion and Infusion. Those two words help describe the different levels on how you can use technology everyday (infusion) compared to only when needed (inclusion).

  1. Nets is THE standard for technology in education - it is even in the front cover of our textbook.

So how do you judge yourself as a 'teacher-to-be' - one who would use infusion or inclusion?
